This story, which develops over a period of almost eight decades, is wrriten by a grandfather for the purpose of recording all the episodes of his life so that his children and grandchildren, and evetually their offspring, will understand how Sabba Les progressed through the Twentieth centry and how he sloved all the problems that come along the best way he could.

This is a translation from yiddish of a group of letters written by my Mother, Hannah Symcha Korman, known as Hantshie from her home in Radom between the period of early 1933 until September, 1939 when the second world war broke out.

This is a collection of letters between Rachel and me during a period of seventeen months, when I left Palestine to go to Australia on September 1, 1947, and until Rachel had joined me in Melbourne, on February 18, 1949.
